"I strive to leverage innovative design concepts to address social challenges. Great architecture serves as a bridge between people and the urban environment."

Achieving net zero carbon emissions as stated in the Green New Deal will unquestionably require large scale transformations of our energy systems. We believe it should also include investments in small-scale “everyday infrastructure” that can make this energy transition visible to everyday residents in their own neighborhood by collecting and utilizing solar energy and empower them to participate in a just transition. Our project consists of a toolkit of smart street furniture that can provide amenities in streets and neighborhood spaces, while generating electricity and jobs in manufacturing this smart street furniture.

The Bird’s Foot Delta is disappearing and might be fully under the water within the next 50 years because of sea level rise. We have designed 4 simultaneous operations that span over the next century, during which we will free up the southern passes and use mud engines to gradually guide sediments and nourishment upstream, driven by natural forces including wind, waves, and tides. Finally, we envision that there will be introduced wildlife sanctuary living on the aggregated territory. We’re proposing programs for both wildlifes to survive and humans to monitor, research, and facilitate. The habitats will allow human and wildlife coexistence, which will also facilitate the balance of the local economy.

There is always controversy about how urban planners plan this land: dismantling or retaining. I hope to conduct an urban renewal which is integrated with the city and satisfy citizen's demand. After I collected memories of the study site by chatting with neighboring residents and merchants, I hope to reshape the old scale of the street. By combining historical culture and public activities, old memories are remained while new vitality is injected into the old neighborhood. And I brought the block pieces into a whole through the form of a continuous commercial street. When people walk on the street, they can experience new functions and old textures at the same time.

The Eastern Waterfront of Mumbai is an ideal setting to experiment with the integration of mobility, housing, commerce, and public functions at a scale suitable for the projection of fundamental ideas about Mumbai’s future as an accessible, equitable city. I put forward the concept of letting the residents build their own houses, which means more care and a feeling of ownership for the residents of Mumbai, so that the government can also distribute more funds to focus on the construction of infrastructure and service facilities. I set up frameworks at both master plan and architecture levels to achieve partial autonomy for residents by dividing living communities and prefabricated building modules. I also pay attention to the outstanding flood problem in Mumbai, to build a livable, affordable and sustainable city.

An experiential industrial heritage display park is the original idea of our plan. We use the old thermal power plant as the transformation base which is full of various industrial elements. We intend to implant an art industry chain inside and replace the original polluting industrial industry chain, which combines various functions of workshop, business, entertainment and leisure. This set of production-sale-display model formed in and around the base hopes to serve as a model for future industrial park transformation.
